Meet The Customer-
Ask one hundred people on the street what a medical marijuana user looks like and you’d likely hear a clichéd description of a light-hearted slacker with an embarrassingly large hacky sack collection, a thorough knowledge of the Grateful Dead’s collection and a glove box full of empty Visine bottles.
Two years ago when we started Tweed, we knew that we shouldn’t make assumptions about our clientele. And no matter how many times you tell yourself to expect the unexpected, we've been constantly inspired by the diversity of the extended Tweed family. We’ve had the pleasure of providing thousands of patients with marijuana and getting to know them in the process. We now want to share some of their stories and highlight the diverse face of Canadian medical cannabis.
This month, we spoke to Jason P., a Canadian Forces veteran who served his country in the Kosovo War, who says he has celebrated watching Tweed’s headquarters transform from an abandoned chocolate factory to his personal supplier of medical cannabis.
How long have you been a Tweed customer? Ten months now.
What inspired you to seek medical cannabis? I decided to use the medical cannabis for the fact it helps with my PTSD and my depression.
What made you choose Tweed? When I was first applying for medical marijuana I wasn't sure where to go for it and a very close friend of mine pointed me in the right direction and introduced me to Tweed.
How has cannabis helped your symptoms or condition? It has helped with my depression a lot and, actually, marijuana is what gets me going during the day.
Have your friends and family commented on your choice? My friends are very supportive, and happy for me at the same time!
What is your favourite strain and why? My favourite two strains at Tweed are the Highlands and Tweed Lot #3. I like the Highlands because of the high THC content in it and the Tweed Lot #3 because of the high CBD content in it.
How do you typically consume your cannabis? I mainly consume my marijuana by means of smoking it but I do use a vaporizer from time to time.
Do you prefer ingesting bud or 10:1 Cannabis Oils? Bud.
How do you see this industry developing in future? I see the medical marijuana business becoming a very successful industry, which should be around for a very long time.
Who is your favourite cannabis advocate and why? Well to be honest with you, if you work for Tweed then there you have it. You guys are all amazing people!
